Avoiding False Manifestations in Self-Healing…
Excerpts from “Finding the Alchemist within – Turning yourself to Gold!”– “A Journey through the labyrinth of Self-Healing” by Tony Damian and Cathryn Barkulis Smith
Accept responsibility for your healing
Once you recognize what kind of healing needs to happen, the positive affirmation becomes, “The issue, stress, pain, dis-ease is no longer acceptable and is no longer mine!” By disassociating from the cause and proclaiming the need to heal, the cause for the healing no longer belongs to you. An intention has been set in motion.
Disassociation with ownership to a disease, condition, injury, or cause of stress creates the mindset needed to allow healing to take place. Setting goals to that healing for yourself, sets visible, tangible, imaginable markers that the mind can wrap around as it watches the body, mind, and spirit heal.
Having trust in yourself and those that are closest to you is imperative to reaching your goals of healing. Having others around you who are honestly supportive of your goals, and not just going along with you half-heartedly, will magnify the efforts and fuel the intention.
Healing on all levels requires the whole truth, and nothing but the truth… from you, and to you. Hanging on to little white lies and deceptions to ease others’ concerns or perceptions creates a festering hole in the soul, the mind, and, eventually, the body.
Most of these kinds of half-truths are self-serving; they create an air of sympathy that appears to be “others caring about you,” when, in reality, they are feeding you a lie and creating a focus and mindset that will eventually create the issue that is being falsely described. A self-fulfilling prophecy if you will. Remember, the Universe acts on your focus, be it real or not… be it what you want or don’t want.
So be mindful of where your focus is.
Unconditional trust in the truth that you are the healer of yourself
Unconditional Trust is the basis of healing, whether it is of yourself or with one helping you heal, or you helping someone else to heal.
No matter what, be unconditionally honest. Lying about the severity of an issue does not lesson or magnify the issue, at least not at first. It merely puts a false intention on something that is not so. By not being fully honest, you will not get rid of the problem; you may create a bigger one in its place.
Revealing truth is a healing modality unto itself.
Along with focus on your healing intention; it is also very important to follow the Laws of Human Nature and the Universal Laws of Manifestation. Humans have a tendency to “over do it” when it comes to Hoping, Wishing and Praying.
For instance, consider those who pray continuously, non-stop. Do they ever stop their ritual of prayer to listen for an answer?
What if the answer was right there in front of them, as soon as they had the notion to pray for that answer?
Would they ever see it?
In my view they “never” get their prayers answered because even with all “good intentions,” the focus remains on the negative aspect of their true desires or needs, via fear and doubt.
Doubt and Fear – The “mind-made” blockers to Positive Intended Manifestations
Using words like “I hope,” “I wish,” and “I pray,” is really like saying, “It would be nice, but I doubt it will happen.”
Using the words “always” and “never” in intentions has pretty much the same outcome. They all put doubt and fear that what you really want cannot happen for one reason or another: “I never win,” “I never get picked,” “He always does that,” “She never listens,” “I always miss out,” “I pray constantly and never get an answer!” etc.
So how do you create an intention, prayer, spell, wish… call it what you will that won’t undo itself??
By following some simple Laws of Human Nature closely when putting in your mind what it is that you want to manifest.
Some laws can be bent, and some can be broken… But NOT the Laws of Nature and the Universe!
These laws govern ALL things, everywhere and ALL the time!
The Universal Laws of Nature, refers to Human Nature, they are not like rules and regulations; they cannot be bent, avoided, or broken. They are the way things have to be, the way things work, no matter what. Everyone follows these Laws – whether we want to of not.
The Universal Law of Karma (Cause and Effect)
In chaos theory, “the butterfly effect” is the sensitive dependence on initial conditions in which a small change in one state of a deterministic nonlinear system can result in large differences in a later state. The name of the effect, coined by Edward Lorenz, is derived from the metaphorical example of the details of a hurricane (exact time of formation, exact path taken) being influenced by minor perturbations such as the flapping of the wings of a distant butterfly several weeks earlier. -Wikipedia
The universal law of Karma says for every action there is a reaction. Karma is not punishment or retribution, but simply an absolute expression or consequence of natural acts. Karma means “deed” or “act” and more broadly names the universal principle of cause and effect, action and reaction, which governs all life.
The effects experienced from an action are not automatically fated. That is to say, a particular deed now is not obligatory to some particular, predestined future experience or reaction; it is not a simple, one-to-one association of reward or punishment. But of course, the prevailing belief is that it is… I guess instant Karma would be just that.
Karma is consequence of our actions.
Karma is not doom, luck, providence, or fate; we humans act of “free will,” creating our own destiny whether we realize it or not. According to the Vedas, if one sows goodness, one will reap goodness; if one sows evil, one will reap evil. Karma refers to the totality of our actions and their associated reactions in this and previous lives, all of which determines our future and future lives. The conquest of karma lies in intelligent action and dispassionate response.
The Hindu say:
If you treat others with good will, you will experience the same, although not necessarily from the same place or immediately.
In Christianity, it is said:
“Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.”
“Love thy neighbor as thyself, for love of thee (God).”
And “whatever ye shall sow, that also shall ye reap.”
Karma is the energy released to the universe in thoughts, words, and deeds. This can be in the ways of daily interactions with others or nature. In spoken and written words, prayers, spells, intentions, and conversations, also through thoughts.
Prayer, intentions, or spells are all the same thing. Putting our desires, wants and needs into a concentrated chain of thoughts and words and then releasing it to the Universe/God/Goddess/Deity.
The Universal Law of Karma also says: “No Karmic Debt ever goes unpaid.” If not “instant Karma,” then it could be days, months, years, or even in the next life. But it will come back.
“Cause and Effect” is a universal law on all levels; everywhere in Physics, in all kinds of Relationships, throughout life. For every action, there is a reaction. The reason I am spending so much time explaining this is because people do not believe this actually exists, but they are so wrong. “Out of sight, out of mind” is the way most humans deal with Karma. It is a Law that governs all things in existence. There is no breaking this law or attempting to go against it because it will always inevitably come back to you.
In Paganism, the Rede proclaims:
“Ever mind the rule of three; what ye send out comes back to ye.”
In this belief system, what you do, think, or say comes back three-fold, be it good or not. This is why “spells” rhyme, to make the intender of the manifestation (prayer or request) fully think through what it is that he/she is asking for – besides making it easier to remember and pass on to others if it worked.
Just thinking about something releases an intention.
“Be mindful of this” is an ounce of prevention.
“Be careful of what you wish for” warns us of this.
Your prayers will now be answered with joy and bliss. -TonyD
Our body’s energies are interconnected from chakra to chakra to energy layers or auric bodies to the Universe. Within these layers of energy is where thoughts, desires, wishes, and prayers are formed through the Astral-Bridge of the Heart Chakra and then broadcasted out to the Universe through what I refer to as the Cosmic-Bridge, or the 8th Auric Layer. (See Auric Layers in Chapter 10 for details of the inner workings.) So the Universe acts on our thoughts as soon as they pop into our mind.
Here is an example of what I’m talking about.
Let’s say you really need $50,000 to keep the house out of foreclosure, keep the car from being repossessed, and pay the utilities before they are shut off, all due to a layoff or cutbacks at work. Therefore, this prayer/intention, goes out to the universe off the top of your head in desperation: “Please, please, please (insert favorite deity), I need $50,000, and I don’t care how I get it. I just need it really, really fast! I’ll be good (go to church, listen to parents, blah, blah, blah) … I’ll do anything.” And exasperated you fall asleep on this.
The desire was stated, and the intention was released to the universe with detachment.
A day or two later you get a message telling you that rich Uncle Fred dropped dead, and you inherited $50Gs.
What will really bake your noodle is….
- Did your intention cause his death?
- Was it a premonition to know he was dying?
- Was it a premonition to know the exact amount of money you were to receive?
- Or was he just old and unhealthy, and the whole thing was just a very strange coincidence?
These questions can never truly be answered indisputably, so now for the rest of your life, you go on wondering. Talk about bad karma.
Truth is, there is no definitive answer to that… so it would be bad karma following you around forever.
“Watch your thoughts; they become your words. Watch your words; they become actions. Watch your actions; they become habit. Watch your habits; they become your character. Watch your character; it becomes your destiny. -Lao Tzu
The lesson to be learned here in setting up and sending out your intentions, prayers, spells, or manifestations is to always follow these rules. Be mindful of your thoughts… two thoughts cannot coexist at the same time. Your thoughts exist only in the “here and now,” the only time that change can occur.
- All of your intentions, desires, and needs must be of free-will to anyone involved; known and unknown.
- Always for the best and highest good to everyone involved; known and unknown.
- With harm to none unless in self-defense.
There, now you’re covered.
May good karma be in all desires you conjure.
The Universal Law of Attraction (The Law of Manifestation – Through Positive Affirmation)
There are so many good books, CDs, DVDs, and entire modalities based on the Law of Attraction. There is more written about this Law of the Universe than there is about the Universe.
The Universe only knows what is being concentrated on, your center of focus; whether it is something you want or do not want. It does not know the difference, only the focus. Whatever you dwell upon, increases.
Talking about your problems and solving them is not the same thing. In fact, talking about them undoes any intention of solving them.
Complaining only entrenches and intensifies the very thing you are complaining about… When you talk of a problem, do so from the standpoint of finding a solution to it. Focus only on what you want, never on what you do not want. Whatever the focus is becomes greater: happiness, wealth, success, etc. Example: you are in need. Focus on abundance rather than the lack of. If you do not want to be a victim, stop focusing on the experiences in which you were mistreated. If you desire more money, see yourself already rich.
If you want peace of mind, stop focusing on things that call up fear, anger, jealousy, and anxiety. Dwell on the things you want even as you take action to remedy what you do not want. Put the intention out and let it go, “AS IF” it is already manifested.
The Universal Law of Reverse Effect
Overkill — Trying to force something to happen by hanging onto the thought and excessively obsessing over it.
One need only put the intention out to the Universe and release it “AS IF” it is already taken care of.
Overkill or obsessing on an outcome can include such constant phrases as “I hope this works,” “I wish this would work,” “I pray this comes true,” “I think I did this right,” and “I hope I did everything correctly.” This reduces the likelihood of success.
Phrases like “I hope,” “I wish,” “I pray,” are actually negatives. They imply that it would be nice for the intention to come true, but there is doubt and fear that they won’t… so obsessive and self-validating words are used. The ego wants us to obsess over an outcome “AS IF” we know better. Chances of success = zero
The Universal Law of Opposites
This relates to the Laws of Attraction, the Law of Reverse Effect, and the Law of Non-Resistance.
Failure to release the intention causes the opposite to come about. Fear, doubt, worry, anxiety, stress, obsession, and overkill all attract the opposite of what you want.
Resistance, which is a negative form of concentration, also tends to bring about the opposite of what you intended.
The Universal Law of Non-Resistance
Surrender your hold on your desires and release them to the Universe. Resistance keeps you locked in struggle. It creates more of the same problem through the Law of Concentration and Manifestation, more commonly known as the Law of Attraction.
Non-resistance is letting go of the pain, and it frees your energy. Letting go is not defeat. Wisdom is putting your time, attention, and energy into something you can do something about rather than what you cannot change.
“GOD, grant me the Serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the Courage to change the things that I can, and the Wisdom to know the difference.”
By “turning the other cheek,” we are not inviting abuse but rather changing our focus of attention towards where the problem is not. Non-resistance is letting go of physical, emotional, psychological and spiritual pain or disease (dis-ease).
We are healing the hurt and turning our attention and energy towards where we are going and want to be rather than where we came from and don’t want to be. Remember, the Universal Law of Attraction answers our focus, be it what we want or not. We let go of resistance, not as a sign of weakness, doubt, defeat, passivity, or compliance, but of freedom to move on with our lives.
Resistance, like constantly trying to prove ourselves right, is a no-win situation. It usually comes from polarity mindsets, seeing things in black and white, right and wrong, good and bad, all or nothing. Truth is beyond both and encompasses all.
We each have a piece of the whole, and there is some truth, some good and some bad, on both sides. Non-resistance is when you are willing to concede that you are not ALL right and the other is not ALL wrong and are willing to look for a common goal. When you seek the common good and a truth that is truly bipartisan, you bring about a third alternative that both sides can agree upon. This is non-resistance, not allowing the ego to rule.
If you refuse to be disturbed, the problem will fall away on its own.
“The world is ruled by letting things take their course. It cannot be ruled by interfering.”
– Lao Tzu: Tao Te Ching
So, create in your mind what it is that you want to manifest, then…..
